Completed Projects by Argent Solar
Argent Solar Electric recently completed a 13 kW ground-mounted photovoltaic electric system for the National Weather Service in Vail, AZ. The system will help power NWS radar monitoring equipment and communication facilities.
Argent Solar Installs System for National Weather Service
When the National Weather Service required a solar-powered installation solution in a remote location requiring a stable energy supply even in severe weather, it turned to Argent Solar.
This National Weather Service radar monitoring and communications site is on a remote mountain-top southeast of Tucson. The panels are mounted to a bleacher-style structure designed by Argent Solar anchored into the rock of the mountain
Argent Solar used excavators and jack-hammers to dig 14, 4-foot deep core footings along 100 feet of hillside for this environmentally-sensitive custom installation.
This 13 kW ground-mounted photovoltaic electric system will generate 21,000 kW hours of electricity a year. The system consists of 50 SolarWorld 245-watt panels with a Solectria PVI 13, 3-phase inverter.
